Black Myrobalan grows throughout the Middle East and India. This plant is known as “Himej” in Ayurveda. It is very similar to haritaki fruit and is also known as bkali harad or black haritaki.
Himej is known to be good as rejuvective, expectorant, flatulence, laxative, digestive, anthelmintic, appetite stimulant, bowl cleaner, carminative, restorative, vermicide. Himej is indicated as a support for regulation of digestive system.
